I am a Black

This poem talks about discrimination of black people by whites. A little innocent boy speaks to his mom about this discrimination. This is inspired by Blake's poem Little black boy.

Dear Mom,
They say I am a black
My skin is black
My eyes are black and
My hair are black
Can you please peep deep inside my body and tell if my soul is black too ?
If My words are black
My actions are black
Everything around me is black
Is my heart black too?
I am hated and discriminated
I have no friend
They look down upon me
Nobody comes and helps me
Is my God black too?
I wish to be just like them
White; Pure and Chaste
Free from all impurities,
Hatred and
Discrimination
So , that everyone
Loves me,
Accepts me
The way I am.

Stop It!!

Stop it !!
Stop this cruelty
Stop this brutality
Stop this nonsense
And put it to an end
Let me break free
Let me shout
I want to yell
I want to cry my heart out
and I want to tell
everyone
What it means to be
Teased
Beaten
Abused
Accused
Molested
Bullied
Mistreated
Misused
Man-handled
Harassed
and Ridiculed.
Enough is Enough
Let me be me
I don't want to be
Ruled
Fooled
Schooled
and most importantly
Cooled.
Now I am IGNITED
and ready to burn your
Ego
and My Fear.
My Silence
was just the calm before the storm.
Now I will not be Quiet
I will
Speak
Act
Answer Back
Protect myself
and sweep away all my Fears
Wipe off my Tears
because I am unstoppable now,
Stop me If you can.
