Teacher's Day Essay

My Teacher is my Role Model: Pressures and Pleasures of Teaching

Before I begin my essay, I would like to ask you all, who is a role model? Well, in my opinion, a role model is someone whom you look upto, the one who inspires you, the one you wish to be like. He or she need not be physically attractive like models or film actors, but should be smart and by smart I mean intellectually smart and inspiring. I don't know about others, but my role model certainly is one of my school teachers. She used to teach us English and it is just because of her that I developed a love for this subject and I took up this profession. I always try to be like her.
Being a teacher is like a blessing, as one gets to relive their childhood. Dealing with children everyday makes one feel young always. A teacher not only teaches its students , but gets to learn so many things from them daily. These young energetic faces never let our energy go down.
Speaking about my personal experience, my teaching carrier has always been pleasurable. Since the day I have started teaching, I have always learnt from my students. My approach has always been friendly towards them as I deal with teenagers and they need to be dealt with love. I feel happy when they come and seek help from me and discuss their problems with me.Yes, of course, at times you feel the pressure when your students don't perform despite your hardwork. Not everybody has the same caliber, but when you see the same children doing well in life, it gives immense pleasure. The unconditional love they give us is beyond measure.
I would like to conclude my essay with the lines that I may or may not be a role model for my students, but my job is certainly pleasurable and these pleasures inspire me to work harder under pressure to achieve perfection.
